With PeerBoard's widget feature, it's possible to embed your community discussion board into your site using your favorite website builder.
You don't need to wait for a native PeerBoard integration to provide your audience with access to your community.
Don't forget that we have a dedicated integration with WordPress. Click here to learn how to install it.
How to install the widget
If you have a Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, or any other non-WordPress website and want to display your community board on the main page, follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings on the main right-hand menu.
- Select Widgets.
- Adjust the settings to your preferences: display or hide the header and change the number of posts displayed (see screenshot).
- Copy the embed code and paste it into your website builder.
We plan to add more customization options, such as displaying additional community pages. Do you have anything specific you'd like to see? Share your suggestions in the comments below.

FAQ
What should I know about widgets?
A widget is not a complete community. It is a live preview with a limited number of features, such as search and user tracking.
Most actions, like clicking on a headline or opening a post from the widget, will direct your members to a new tab with a full version of the community. For example, if you have a custom subdomain (you can set one up on the Hosting page), they will end up there.
How does a widget work in a private community?
It protects your users' privacy by displaying a login prompt. For non-users, the widget will display a splash screen that hides the community's content.
