Hey guys,
So I'm currently working on transitioning my eCom Stores from being just a 1-way form of selling (i.e. Just me selling my own products to everyone) to being a full blown Marketplace style commerce website. Such as Etsy, Ebay, Amazon, etc. Where any User can Sign Up on their own, and even Post Products on their own, directly to my website.
With that being said, the Multi-Vendor Marketplace App that I am using to do this, creates a Profile for each User that Signs Up as well. It is actually necessary as it Displays each Users Products that they have for Sale, essentially acting as each Users own personal "Store Front." As well as their Contact Info, and their own personal Reviews/Feedback from other Users, so that people can build trust with other users on my website.
So I was actually wondering if there was a way that I could combine the 2 Profiles? or maybe send both of your guys' profile fields/info to the Shopify User Profiles and use that instead? or maybe there are some other options?
Ideally I would like to end up with just 1 Profile Page for each User, that combines all the Features of each App that generates a User Profile for people. However, at this point I am sort of expecting for it to not be totally possible. At least not at this point in time yet.
However, that puts me in a situation of probably having to leave PeerBoard behind and start looking into other Community/Forum style Apps, that are similar to PeerBoard, but ones that will integrate with the Marketplace App I am using. Or at the very least, just doesn't create 2 logins and 2 Profiles for everyone anyway. Simply because the Functionality of those Reviews and Product Listings, etc are going to be pretty necessary for the websites/communities to thrive.
I have included 2 Screenshots of each Apps User Profile Pages, as well as a link to the exact Marketplace App that I am using. I was also going to reach out to them and ask the same question, but regardless, I am willing to compromise with both of you guys, in order to get closer to the end goal But I was hoping you guys had some insight for me, before I go talk to them. Simply bc I enjoy your guys' involvement with your App, far more than what they provide.
