Hi, at the moment we keep the number of pins to 2 or 3 max because we do not want to crowd out recent and trending threads.
With category level pins, we can pin important section relevant information above other threads in the section without it becomming burried (especially for locked guide threads) and keep the mainpage free for member threads.
Would be great to see the option to select category or site level pin
