I'm very happy to share that we've revisited our pricing model, lowering our Professional plan pricing and introducing a new entry-level Starter plan for early-stage communities that cannot afford to pay that much yet. And we've removed any usage limits (BIG!)!
You can check our new pricing here: PeerBoard Pricing Page. Below is a quick summary of what has changed and our reasoning behind it.
From PeerBoard inception, our goal was to democratize community building. Since then, we've learned a lot about your needs, built a much better product, and started to scale our support capacity so now we feel we are ready to open PeerBoard to a wider group of partners and simplify our pricing.
Here are the key highlights:
- No usage limits anymore! We're dropping any usage limits from all our plans. They differ only by features now. No limits on members, no limits on admins, no limits on content, no limits on storage, no limits on categories. This is BIG and we hope this helps you to feel secure using PeerBoard.
- We're keeping our free Public Community plan free. This is a very limited plan that is meant for the people who want to play with the product or start a public community (public content, open registration). We see it as a better replacement for Reddit and encourage you to use it for anything that fits this public model, from a book club to your public project community.
- We're introducing a brand new Starter plan for just $29/month. This plan has everything you need to start a great community. It supports privacy controls, custom domains, our WordPress and upcoming plugins, Zapier, and even allows up to 3 secret post categories. If you're running a small private community, this is all you need. The things that are NOT included are search, SDK/API support, and our upcoming JS scripts and moderator role.
- We're dropping the price of our Professional plan to $79/month (previously at $99). In addition to having all the features listed above and having up to 10 secret post categories, you also get a better direct support channel with the team and me. For everybody on our current Professional plan, we're switching you to the new lower price starting from today, good news for you :)
Note: we don't have some of the restrictions in place yet, so you may start seeing more locked features on your Public Community and Starter plan later this month. We didn't want to wait to unblock these cases, so we launched without some of the feature checks :)
Please let me know if that helps to unlock your use case! And as always, we're open to your feedback.
