The Alt attribute on images will greatly improve the SEO performance of the forum.
How I see it:
- Automatic generation of Alt based on the post title + index for uniqueization (for example: "Post title + Image 1");
- Ability for the administrator to manually assign Alt for any post image. This is necessary in the case of writing articles, tutorials, reviews for better SEO optimization. Otherwise, some unique images can be copied by users and used on their personal resources, while the search engines will consider their resource as the primary source.
