Ta-dah! Before we all rush in to welcome the New Year, let's recap the latest PeerBoard improvements.
From this moment on, you can:
- Polish post category access controls
- Customize your favicon (browser icon)
- Choose from new fonts
- Host a community in English, Russian, Standard Chinese, Greek, Hungarian, Danish, Italian, French, or Japanese (and more to come)
- Use your custom logo in link previews
Revisit Access Control
In November, we introduced a multi-level control over content access in a community. As you might remember, each category is accessible to any user group by default. Now we distinguish between admins, all users, and separate user groups for more thorough content management.
Make Your Browser Icon Stand Out
If you chose to host your community on our domain, the browser would display PeerBoard's icon. Now you can customize it by going to Settings -> Customization -> Upload Browser Icon. Have you already done it? Brag with a screenshot in the comments :)
Play With Fonts
You asked for it, you got it! We have added a few more fonts to our selection, namely Roboto and Montserrat which you will find in Settings -> Customization -> Font Family.
Host Community in Your Mother Tongue
While German and Spanish translations are in the pipeline, our community has already translated PeerBoard into 8 languages. Good job, PeerBoarders!

Let Community Speak for Itself
Since link previews display custom logos now, your community won't get confused with any other even outside the instance. Preview saves your time from breaking down the essence of the community. Just send the link to it and have your community speak for itself.
For closed communities, the preview doesn't reveal any contents and acknowledges that it is a private community.
